How Hi-Lo Works

Hi-Lo is the card game you can explain in 10 seconds: will the next card be higher or lower than the one showing? Guess right, you win. Wrong, you lose. That's the whole game — and the reason it never gets old is the multiplier chain mechanic. Every correct guess doesn't just pay — it multiplies your bet further. Win 5 in a row and a 1-coin bet becomes 16x. The tension builds with each card.

The strategic depth comes from knowing when to take the risk and when to bank your winnings. A 10 showing is technically easier to beat (higher or lower both have 5 ranks, with a 5-rank overlap on either side) than a 7 showing (where the distribution of remaining cards is more balanced). Most players bank their chain at 3–4x and start fresh.
